The Kindle version of The Color of Magic by Terry Pratchett is on sale for 99 cents on the U.S. Amazon site.
I’ve had this on my TBR list for a while so, for 99 cents, I decided to snag it. It's not too high on my reading list though, partly because the series is enormous and partly because I've always been skeptical about whether I’ll enjoy it. I've seen Pratchett compared to Douglas Adams, and I didn’t care for The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. It was funny, but it was the sort of unrealistic humor that made it difficult for me to get immersed the story. But I plan to at least give Pratchett a try at some point and decide for myself. Anybody out there dislike The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy but still like Pratchett?
